  • Toni accepts Baylor Scott & White Health Plan, Blue Cross & Blue Shield, ChampVA, Cigna/Evernorth, ComPsych, Magellan, Optum/United/UMR, Tricare insurance plans, as well as having private pay options.

    If your insurance is not accepted by Toni, there are a few options:

    1. You can contact your insurance company regarding your out-of-network mental health benefits.

    2. Toni can provide a super bill, to be submitted by the client to the insurance company, for any insurance plans not accepted by Toni.

    Not all clinicians at Sapphire Cove Counseling Services may accept insurance due to having a provisional license in the State of Texas, therefore, these counselors offer sessions at a reduced cost private pay rate.

  • Fees will vary depending on your insurance plan (if there is a co-payment/cost-share) or if you are using private pay options with a counselor in the office. Fees are due at the time of service.

    Payments of cash, check, or credit card are accepted for all counselors.

  • While some sessions may vary in length, most sessions are 45 to 60 minutes in length, with 50 minutes being the average length.

  • Cancellation for a session can be made up to 24 hours in advance of session with no fee. Cancellations made with less than 24 hour notice may be subjected to a $100 late cancellation fee. Sessions that are missed may be subjected to a $100 no show fee, with the client responsible for contacting their counselor for rescheduling.

  • Setting up services for a child:

    • The first session, also called an intake session, will be with the caregiver(s) only. In this session, the caregiver(s) will be asked questions about their child, including the child’s development & history, behaviors, routines, support system, and current concerns for seeking counseling.

      The counselor will explore goals of the caregiver(s) for counseling and establish counseling structure and approach for best care from the beginning of services.

      The next appointment would be with the child to allow the child to explore their experience of current concerns and establish counseling structure and approach to allow child to be involved and engaged in the process from the beginning.

    Setting up services for an adult:

    • The first session, also called an intake session, will include questions about development & history, behaviors, routines, support system, and current concerns for seeking counseling.

      The counselor will explore goals of the adult client for counseling, as well as establish counseling structure and approach for best care from the beginning of services.

  • All documentation must be completed before the first session – counselors will send the needed documentation for completion in advance of session.

    Supplemental documentation required for clients can be uploaded to the client portal or emailed to the counselor that services are being set up with.

    Setting up services for a child:

    • Photo ID of Caregiver(s)

    • Insurance Card (if using insurance coverage)

    • Birth Certificate

    • Custody Documentation (if applicable)

    Setting up services for an adult:

    • Photo ID for self

    • Insurance Card
